Air pollutants, mainly particulate matter PM 2.5 and PM10, are now suspected of increasing the risk of breast cancer for women, according to recent international studies. The studies have shown a correlation between indoor and outdoor exposure to particulate matter and breast cancer. This article discusses the findings and the need for further research in this area.
