India has committed to funding the complete cost of developing a port in Sri Lanka, as part of its efforts to strengthen bilateral ties.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has revealed the logo and identity of the Vizhinjam International Seaport in Thiruvananthapuram. The ambitious port project aims to enhance international maritime trade and is nearing completion. The port will be known as Vizhinjam International Seaport, Thiruvananthapuram. The first ship is scheduled to dock at the port on October 4, 2023. The seaport is being constructed under the public-private partnership model, with Adani Group as the private partner.
