An iconic red sweater worn by Princess Diana shortly after her engagement to Prince Charles has sold for $1.1 million at auction. The sweater, featuring rows of fluffy little sheep, became one of Diana’s most emblematic articles of clothing. It surpassed Sotheby’s initial estimate and set a new record for the highest price ever paid for a garment belonging to Princess Diana. The sweater was created by designers Sally Muir and Joanna Osborne of Warm and Wonderful.
