The final voter turnout for the lone Puducherry Lok Sabha seat stood at 78.80% with the Assembly segment of Bahour recording the highest turnout of 88.76%. The enclave of Mahe recorded the lowest turnout of 65.11%. The polling percentage was higher among women voters compared to men voters.

Actor-politician Kamal Haasan has accepted a Rajya Sabha seat for next year, ending the deadlock in talks between DMK and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) over seat sharing. MNM had submitted a wishlist of three Lok Sabha seats and one Rajya Sabha seat. Haasan expressed his support for the DMK-led alliance, stating that he will not contest the elections but will fully support the alliance. As per the poll pact, MNM will campaign for the DMK-led alliance in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The CPI in Puducherry has called for providing electricity to consumers at subsidised rates in order to alleviate the burden of another round of tariff revision proposed by the Puducherry Electricity Department. A CPI leader suggested that the government should consider subsidies for electricity, similar to LPG subsidies, to mitigate the hardships faced by the common man.

The Tourism Department of Puducherry has proposed conducting curated tour packages for domestic tourists to France at concessional rates. During a meeting with French Ambassador Thierry Mathou, Tourism Minister K Lakshminarayanan suggested that these packages could be undertaken by the Puducherry Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) to tap into the growing demand for tourist visas. The proposal also includes collaboration with the Louvre Museum and strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.
