The US Navy’s Naval Special Warfare, which oversees the Navy SEALs, will begin random testing for performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) in November. This marks the first time a US military special operations group will regularly screen all of its members for doping. The decision comes after the use of banned substances was revealed among SEAL candidates following the death of a sailor in the grueling selection course. The move aims to address the issue of illicit drug use and maintain fair competition within the force.
