The officer alleged facing political pressure during sensitive investigations in Chhattisgarh. The CAT observed that the order of compulsory retirement was a shortcut to avoid a departmental inquiry. Singh held the rank of ADG when he was compulsorily retired after being raided by the anti-corruption bureau. He had also faced a sedition case during the tenure of the Bhupesh Baghel government.
