A Delhi court has taken cognisance of a charge sheet filed against NewsClick founder and Editor-in-Chief Prabir Purkayastha under anti-terror law UAPA in a case based on allegations that the news portal received money to spread pro-China propaganda. The court has fixed May 31 for arguments on framing of charges.

Ukraine has detained a former serviceman accused of helping Russian forces strike the Kharkiv region. The suspect, who is accused of being an agent of Russia’s Federal Security Service, faces up to eight years in prison. Ukrainian forces have also repelled a Russian sabotage group in the Sumy region.
