SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal has suggested conducting DNA tests for those joining the BJP, stating that his party is the voice of Punjab. The statement comes after two members of SAD leader Sikandar Singh Maluka’s family joined the BJP. Badal also urged people to support SAD in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and criticized national parties for their lack of concern for development work.

The AAP in Punjab has claimed that the SAD and BJP have already finalised an alliance in Punjab and are waiting for a suitable time to announce it. The AAP’s chief spokesperson in Punjab, Malvinder Singh Kang, stated that efforts to seal the alliance were initiated by Harsimrat Kaur Badal, former Union minister and Bathinda MP. The SAD has dismissed these claims, accusing the AAP of spreading misinformation.
