The Arya Samaj Trust has reopened its school in downtown Srinagar, 33 years after it was closed due to separatist militancy in J&K. After a prolonged legal battle, the school was reclaimed by the trust in 2022. Currently serving 35 underprivileged students, the school aims to encourage more enrolments. The principal acknowledges the initial hesitancy of the locals but remains confident in the school’s ability to make a positive impact.
