South African countries are set to fly the extinct cheetahs to the East African country Mozambique as well as India. Since the cat’s extinction in the areas, 4 cheetahs are being transported to Mozambique, following 12 more to India in October. The region’s 8% annual cheetah growth population allows the continent to allegedly transport 8-12 animals per annum to India, in order to reach optimum population of 500 to genetically sustain the species for long-term.
