At least 37 people have lost their lives and several others are missing due to flash floods triggered by heavy rains and cold lava flow from a volcano in Indonesia’s Sumatra island. The floods have caused severe damage to villages and infrastructure in the affected area. This incident follows a similar natural disaster a few months ago. Mount Marapi, the volcano responsible for the lava flow, has been on high alert since 2011 due to its unpredictable eruptions.
