The forest department has seized a tiger tooth from Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad after he claimed he had hunted a tiger in 1987. Gaikwad had been wearing the tiger tooth around his neck. The tooth has been sent for forensic identification and a case has been registered against Gaikwad under the Wildlife Protection Act.
