Members of the Dharwad District Committee of All India United Trade Union Centre staged a demonstration in Hubballi demanding the fulfilment of their demands, including job security and the abolition of anti-labour laws.
Amazon employees in over 30 countries are planning to go on strike and organize protests on Black Friday, November 24. Last year, the movement staged more than 135 strikes and protests in 35 countries on Black Friday. The announcement was made at the Make Amazon Pay summit in Manchester, where trade unionists and political leaders gathered. The campaign is a joint effort between UNI Global Union and Progressive International.
