More than five lakh Ayushman Bharat beneficiary cards have been made in just four days since the launch of the Ayushman Bhav campaign, Union Health Secretary Sudhansh Pant said on Thursday. In addition, more than 20 lakh ABHA IDs have been generated and 20 lakh footfalls have been registered at the Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Centres and Community Health Centres for availing free treatment and screening services.

The WHO will soon release the ‘Gujarat Declaration on Traditional Medicine’, according to Union Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. The declaration highlights the significance of traditional medicine in achieving universal health coverage. The first WHO Traditional Medicine Global Summit, hosted by the Ministry of Ayush, was held in Gujarat and received positive feedback for its emphasis on evidence generation and policy support to member states. Additionally, the summit showcased the increasing reach of traditional medicine globally.
