Two BSF personnel were honoured for gallantry on Republic Day eve, along with the current DG (law and order) in UP Police Prashant Kumar, popularly known as the ‘encounter specialist’. The medals announced include gallantry medals, President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, and Medal for Meritorious Service. CRPF received the highest number of medals, followed by J&K Police and UP Police.
