Top seed Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alexander Zverev in straight sets in the US Open quarter-finals to advance to the semi-finals and continue his title defence. Alcaraz will face Daniil Medvedev for a place in the final. Alcaraz dominated at critical moments, converting all four of his break points while Zverev failed to convert any of his five chances.
