The first official Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) ministerial meeting took place on Thursday in Los Angeles, wherein Union commerce minister Piyush Goyal versed with US secretary of commerce Gina Raimondo and USTR Katherine Tai, about the hike of trade ties and economic investments between the two countries. Furthermore, Goyal also talked to trade minister s of Japan and Vietnam to increase exports and expect job opportunities. The 14-member Trademark’s main focus is upon securing supply chain disruptions, looking at the example of early covid global crisis.
In attempts to visit the United Nation General Assembly in New York, among other multilateral and bilateral meetings in the US, External Affairs minister S. Jaishankar, along with Industry minister Piyush Goyal, will be landing in the US this month. Primarily to address the issues of reform of UN Security Council, counter-terrorism, climate change and food, the Indian representatives will also be witnessed travelling to Washington DC for meeting with Antony Blinken and Los Angeles to Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) Ministerial attendance.
