The US military intercepted a small balloon over Utah and determined that it posed no threat to civil aviation or to national security. The balloon was incapable of maneuvering itself and traveled at a high altitude. This comes after a similar incident where a US fighter jet shot down a Chinese spy balloon over the United States.
