The campaign chariot, or prachar rath, of BJP’s North East Mumbai Lok Sabha candidate Mihir Kotecha was vandalized in Mankhurd. Kotecha condemns the act and calls for restraint from BJP and Mahayuti workers. He also paid tributes to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and other revered figures on his Jayanti.

Hundreds of supporters of cleric Tauqeer Raza gathered in Bareilly’s Islamia ground to protest recent developments related to Gyanvapi mosque and Uttarakhand administration’s anti-encroachment operation. The situation turned tense as slogans were raised against the PM, UP CM, and Uttarakhand CM, leading to sporadic incidents of vandalism and injuries. Heavy security forces were deployed, and marketplaces in sensitive areas were closed. Cleric Tauqeer Raza, head of Ittehad-e-Millat Council, was briefly detained.
