An employee of an educational institute in Mumbai has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman after promising her brother a job. The accused, Sanjay Shah, who is a deputy registrar with the institute, has been charged with multiple offenses including rape and criminal intimidation. Students at the institute have called for Shah’s immediate removal, claiming that this incident is not isolated and citing alleged involvement of multiple professors in cases of sexual harassment in the recent past.
