The Centre has revived the Vivad Se Vishwas I scheme to settle claims of Indian MSMEs facing disputes with central government agencies due to the pandemic. The new window for filing claims will be open from January 1, 2024, to March 31. The scheme intends to provide relief to MSMEs unable to comply with government contracts. The previous window had settled ₹650 crore in nearly 44,000 cases.
The Central government has accepted more than 10,000 claims of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under the Vivad se Vishwas – I scheme, granting about ₹256 crore to firms entangled in disputes. The scheme was announced in this year’s Budget to provide relief to MSMEs impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
