A district court in Varanasi dismissed a plea to transfer the original 1991 Gyanvapi suit to another court. The district judge rejected the application, stating petitioners had no legal standing. The plea, filed by relatives of a late litigant in the case, sought more time to present their side in the dispute over Gyanvapi mosque complex.
