In response to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a high-level meeting at the Secretariat. Dhami emphasized the need for officials to be proactive and maintain special vigilance in border areas. He stressed the importance of keeping administrative units on high alert. Dhami's focus extended to ensuring the availability of medical supplies, including life-saving medicines and surgical equipment, in all state hospitals. Additionally, he directed the Food and Civil Supplies Department to secure essential food items for the state. Relief and rescue teams were put on standby for quick response in case of emergencies. The Chief Minister also instructed the Information Department to actively combat misinformation and provide timely updates to the public. Dhami reiterated the government's commitment to prioritize public safety and readiness for any emergency. Earlier, Dhami chaired a review meeting of the Migration Prevention Commission, aiming to showcase successful reverse migration stories and incorporate suggestions into state schemes for more effective implementation.
