Indian Air Force Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, part of the Gaganyaan mission astronaut team, has been urgently recalled to active duty amidst escalating tensions with Pakistan. Attending a global space conference in Delhi, Krishnan was informed by the IAF to return immediately. Trained extensively for the human spaceflight mission, Krishnan's expertise as a pilot showcases his readiness for the Gaganyaan project planned for 2027. Born in 1982, Krishnan's decorated career includes training alongside Angad Pratap for the upcoming space endeavor, while the other team members gear up for a separate space mission in the US. The Gaganyaan mission aims to send a three-member crew into orbit for three days before bringing them back safely to Earth.
