India successfully repelled a massive drone attack launched by Pakistan, targeting military and civilian establishments. The attack led to deadly artillery duels and casualties on both sides. India swiftly retaliated by striking four air defence sites. The Pakistani drones were spotted in multiple locations, including Srinagar, Baramulla, Jammu, and Bhuj. The armed forces neutralised most of the drones, but one managed to cause severe injuries in Ferozpur. Pakistan also used armed UAVs, including Turkish drones, to target Indian cities and military installations. In response, the Indian armed forces launched Israeli-origin armed drones against Pakistani air defence sites. The counter-strike destroyed several Pakistani drones and a radar. The Indian air defence units used sophisticated weapons to bring down the drones, while some were jammed or flew back. The purpose of the drone attack was speculated to be testing India's air defence systems and gathering intelligence. Pakistan also engaged in heavy artillery shelling across the Line of Control and used armed drones in various regions of Jammu & Kashmir, resulting in casualties on both sides. The rival navies continued their activities in the northern Arabian Sea, issuing warnings to ships due to firing exercises. India's drills will last till May 13, while Pakistan's will end a day earlier.
