Chorla Ghat road in Goa is experiencing a surge in accidents since traffic from Anmod Ghat was redirected. A recent incident involving a heavy goods carrier skidding off the narrow road raised concerns. With the Anmod Ghat section closed for repairs, heavy vehicles are redirected to Chorla Ghat, causing overload and accidents. The inadequate maintenance of aluminium barricades and poor road conditions further exacerbate the risks for drivers. The Goa authorities need to address these safety issues promptly to prevent further accidents and ensure road safety for all users.
