Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commended the unity and integrity displayed by the country's political leadership amidst the recent confrontation with the Indian military. He emphasized the importance of adopting peaceful negotiations to address longstanding issues between India and Pakistan, including water resource sharing and the Kashmir dispute. Sharif expressed Pakistan's positive response to the understanding reached with India for regional peace. He also extended gratitude to various friendly nations and international leaders for their efforts in de-escalating tensions between the two countries. In particular, he highlighted the support of China as a longstanding and trustworthy ally. Sharif deemed the agreement with India as a collective success for the nation and its armed forces, praising their resilience and professionalism in handling the situation. Despite Pakistan's offer to participate in a transparent investigation into the Pahalgam attack, there was no positive response from New Delhi. The Prime Minister lauded the nation and armed forces for what he termed a 'victory'.
