Telangana's BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar conducted a significant Zoom meeting with principals, Regional Coordinating Officers (RCOs), and other officials overseeing 327 BC Gurukul institutions in the state. Expressing his concern over recent disturbing incidents in BC Gurukulams, he reiterated the importance of ensuring the welfare and safety of students without any compromise. Minister Prabhakar instructed the RCOs to diligently fulfill their responsibilities by conducting regular inspections of the Gurukuls to ensure that standards are adhered to. He highlighted the recent increase in mess charges to guarantee nutritious meals according to the prescribed menu and emphasized the need for strict maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene on all Gurukul campuses. The Minister issued a strong warning stating that any incidents within the Gurukuls would be the responsibility of the respective authorities. This proactive approach underlines the government's commitment to prioritizing the well-being and security of students in BC Gurukul institutions.
