On Monday, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, plans to move forward with the National Sports Governance Bill, 2025, in the Lok Sabha, marking an important step for Indian sports governance. This bill is a significant legislative initiative aimed at enhancing sports development and ethical governance practices in India. Alongside this, the Minister will also introduce amendments to the National Anti-Doping Act, 2022, underlining the government's commitment to maintaining integrity in sports. Furthermore, during the Lok Sabha session, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present amendments to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, specifically targeting modifications in the Second Schedule to align with recent changes in the First Schedule that were enacted via the Finance Act, 2025. This legislative action aims to streamline customs regulations and maintain consistency in tariffs as the economy evolves, reflecting the government's proactive approach in adapting to economic needs. The day's proceedings will commence with a Question Hour, overseen by various Union Ministers who will present the List of Papers. Other ministers such as Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Jayant Chaudhary will also table various reports, addressing previous recommendations made by parliamentary committees on the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. There will also be a reporting session where MPs will outline the findings of the finance standing committee as well as the Eighth Report concerning the 'Steel Scrap Recycling Policy' related to the Ministry of Steel.
