The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results for the Class 10 and 12 exams without a merit list to prevent unhealthy competition among students. With a pass percentage of over 93% in Class 10 and 88.39% in Class 12, girls have outshone boys once again. CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that the board will issue merit certificates to the top 0.1% of students who have scored the highest marks in each subject. These certificates will be available in the students' Digi-Locker accounts. The decision to omit merit lists was made to discourage unhealthy competition among students. The policy of not announcing merit lists was also followed in 2020 and 2021 due to the cancellation of exams caused by COVID-19. This practice was made permanent in 2022. The results were announced on May 13, 2025, at 4:03 pm IST.
