India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh whipped up some fiery patriotism on Sunday! Speaking after the bhoomi pujan of a new rail coach factory by Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) in Madhya Pradesh’s Raisen district, Singh described India’s economy as the world’s most "dashing and dynamic." He didn’t hold back, pointing out that some people with the attitude of "we are everyone's boss" are not liking India's incredible march forward. “Today, if any country has a dashing and dynamic economy, it is India's economy,” Singh thundered. Without naming anyone, he said, "Many people are trying to do something, so that when things made by the hands of Indians in India go to countries of the world, they become more expensive than the things made in those countries." This, he warned, is so the world won’t buy Indian goods easily. Backing his bold words with figures, Singh recalled that in 2014, India’s economy ranked 11th worldwide. Today, it is proudly counted among the top four economies. "If any country has a rapidly growing economy, it is our India," he said. He stressed that when the country moves forward, its people must also grow with it. The Defence Minister also highlighted India’s giant leap in defence production. "Earlier, things related to defence production were made by foreigners, and India used to buy from them. But today, many of these things are made on Indian soil, by Indian hands, and not only are we fulfilling our own needs, but we are also exporting to other countries of the world," he said. In a dazzling jump, Singh revealed, "When Narendra Modi became prime minister in 2014, only ₹600 crore worth of Indian defence products were exported. But now, we are exporting defence products worth more than ₹24,000 crore! This is the power of India. This is the new defence sector of the new India." Touching on security, Singh strongly condemned the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, where 26 people were killed after terrorists asked for their religion. "We do not believe in murder," he said. "We will kill terrorists not by looking at their religion, but by looking at their deeds." Singh declared, "India’s clear stand is that we will not spare anyone who instigates us." Back to the glitzy new project, Singh said the BEML rail coach factory at Umaria village will be a big gift for Raisen and Vidisha regions in MP, creating jobs for 5,000 people. Madhya Pradesh is buzzing with growth after getting investment proposals worth ₹30 lakh crore. "If the leadership is excellent, development happens rapidly. After a few years, people will start calling Madhya Pradesh a modern state," Singh predicted confidently. He added that once the factory starts, the entire area around it will flourish. The BEML rail coach unit, named BRAHMA (BEML Rail Hub for Manufacturing), will cost ₹1,800 crore and has an initial production target of 125 to 200 coaches per year. Officials said the goal is to ramp up to 1,100 coaches annually within five years. Top leaders like MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan were present at the bhoomi pujan held at the Dussehra Ground in Obedullaganj near Umaria. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw sent his good wishes via video message. What a moment for India’s booming economy, defence might, and visionary development – all shining bright under the sun!
