New Delhi: The heat is on the stray dog problem in Delhi-NCR! The Supreme Court has now taken this issue to a bigger stage. It has moved the case to a three-judge bench. The panel featuring Justice Vikram Nath, Justice Sandeep Mehta, and Justice NV Anjaria will hear the case on Thursday. This important shift was reported by LiveLaw. Earlier, on August 11, a two-judge bench with Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice R Mahadevan stepped in. They ordered the relocation of stray dogs in Delhi-NCR to dog shelters. This action came after the bench took suo motu notice on July 28. It was based on a Times of India report titled “In a city hounded by strays, kids pay price.” The report highlighted how children in the city were suffering due to stray dogs. Today, the issue was raised twice before the Chief Justice of India, BR Gavai — once in the morning and again in the evening. The CJI said he would look into the matter carefully. What’s next? The country watches eagerly as this buzzing legal drama moves forward. Will the bigger bench come up with stronger solutions? Stay tuned for Thursday’s hearing – it promises to be a showdown packed with action!
