PM Modi's Fiery Independence Day Speech: Operation Sindoor, Nuclear Blackmail & New India Vision

August 15, 2025

The air at Red Fort blazed with pride and power on August 15, 2025, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on the 79th Independence Day. Standing tall, Modi hailed 'Operation Sindoor,' India's fierce military retaliation following the brutal Pahalgam terror attack. "Operation Sindoor was a manifestation of the anger that the country was feeling over the Pahalgam terror attack," he declared, reminding us all of the terrorists’ cruel act of killing innocent people after asking their religion. Modi sharply warned Pakistan, saying India has set a "new normal"—no more dividing terrorists and those who support them. "India has decided that it will not tolerate nuclear blackmail anymore," he said boldly. The Prime Minister revealed how after April 22, India's armed forces were given full freedom to plan and strike. The result? Terror hubs deep inside enemy territory reduced to rubble. "Pakistan still has sleepless nights," Modi said, describing the damage as shocking with "new revelations coming to the fore." Touching on an old sore, Modi described the Indus Waters Treaty as "one-sided and unjust." "Rivers from India were irrigating the lands of enemies while my country's land faced a deficiency of water," he lamented. Farmers suffered for seven decades under this water-sharing deal, he pointed out. Modi proudly saluted the soldiers of Operation Sindoor, calling it a punishment so tough that "our enemies never imagined." This was his 12th consecutive Independence Day speech from the iconic Red Fort ramparts. Besides the brave soldiers and fierce battle talk, Modi took a moment to honor India’s great leaders—Rajendra Prasad, BR Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and SRadhakrishnan—and praised the powerful role of Nari Shakti. He also marked the 125th birth anniversary of SP Mookherjee, a great contributor to India’s Constitution, calling him a true sacrificer for the nation. Modi reminded everyone how removing Article 370 fulfilled the dream of "Ek Desh, Ek Samvidhan" (One Nation, One Constitution). Earlier that day, he paid emotional tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat, emphasizing the celebrations’ theme: 'Naya Bharat' — a New India rising strong and united. This Independence Day was not just a celebration! It was a bold statement—India is ready to protect its honor, fight terrorism fiercely, and march forward on the road of unity and strength.
