A deadly cloudburst pounded the peaceful Jod Ghati village in Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, overnight Saturday to Sunday, turning lives upside down. Four people tragically lost their lives, and six others were injured in this sudden natural disaster. Roads leading to the village snapped, making rescue work tougher. Union Minister Jitendra Singh quickly reached out to local police, saying he spoke to SSP Kathua Shobhit Saxena right after hearing the news. "Four casualties have been reported. In addition, damage has occurred to the railway track, National Highway, while Police Station Kathua has also been affected," he confirmed via X (formerly Twitter). The civilian administration, along with military and paramilitary forces, has sprung into action like superheroes. They are working tirelessly to rescue trapped villagers and bring relief. Jitendra Singh also expressed his heartfelt sorrow by saying, "My sincere condolences to the families of the deceased."
