HYDERABAD – Get ready for a rural revolution! The Telangana government has launched the exciting 'Panula Jatara – 2025' programme, firing up the entire State on Friday. With a whopping ₹2,198 crore on the table, this grand initiative promises to kickstart over one lakh development projects in villages across Telangana. The festive inauguration was held at Puttala Bhupathi village in Mahabubabad district, where Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya, popularly known as Seethakka, officially launched the event. She praised the spirit of rapid progress, saying, “This time, over one lakh projects are being started with a budget of ₹2,198 crore, which will be a new milestone in the history of rural development in the State.” This year’s Panula Jatara isn’t just about numbers but about action! The programme includes building Gram Panchayat offices, Anganwadi centers for children, cattle sheds for farmers, check dams to save water, plastic waste units to keep villages clean, community toilets, rural roads, and school toilets — all vital pillars of village life. The celebrations sparked off with ceremonies marking the completion of last year’s projects and laying foundation stones for the brand-new initiatives. Ministers like Damodar Raja Narsimha, Ponnam Prabhakar, Adluri Laxman, and Gaddam Vivek joined the celebrations at various locations. Advisors and MLAs also added to the buzz across the State. Officials and District Collectors got into the spirit too. For example, Mulugu District Collector T.S. Divakara inaugurated cattle sheds and ink pits at Chinnaboinapalli Gram Panchayat, promoting rural welfare in Eturnagaram Mandal. With this mega push, Telangana is charging ahead on the path of rural progress. Infrastructure, sanitation, jobs, and agricultural support are all blooming together, creating villages that are not just surviving but thriving. So, is Panula Jatara 2025 the game-changer that Telangana’s villages have waited for? The excitement and scale say yes!
