NEW DELHI: In a fiery statement this Thursday, PM Narendra Modi pointed fingers at certain politicians causing a ruckus in Parliament. He said these disruptions happen because some older leaders feel scared about being outshone by younger and talented MPs. “They organise protests to nip the threat to their own position,” the PM explained during an informal meeting at Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's office after the House was adjourned sine die. Sources reveal that Modi hinted at Rahul Gandhi by talking about 'insecurities' but smartly avoided naming anyone. The PM called the opposition’s protests “bereft of merit,” saying their actions stop fresh talent from coming forward. Notably, the opposition parties did not join this important meet. This absence didn’t go unnoticed. One attendee commented, “It is becoming very tough to bring Congress on board because only a few of its members, who the government regularly interacts with, can actually influence the party’s decisions.” PM Modi also highlighted that the monsoon session passed many important bills but sadly, most could not be discussed properly due to disruptions. Adding fuel to the fire, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju took a cheeky dig at the opposition by suggesting they might have been too "embarrassed" by their own behaviour to attend the meeting. The drama of India’s Parliament continues! Who will take the front seat in this political roller coaster? For now, Modi wants the young stars to shine bright and leave insecurity behind.
