The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has struck hard in two big terror-linked cases! In Chhattisgarh, it filed charges against three top members of a CPI (Maoist) frontline group called the Moolwasi Bachao Manch (MBM). These men – Gajendra Madvi, Laxman Kunjam, and Raghu Midyami – were caught handling nasty Naxal terror funds. The state government had already banned MBM under the Chhattisgarh Special Public Security Act. The case heated up when Rs 6 lakh was seized from Madvi and Kunjam. They were about to put this money into bank accounts on orders from CPI leaders. The Bijapur Police first started probing in March 2023, but the NIA took over in February 2024. Investigations revealed that Raghu Midyami, MBM’s president, was key in collecting, storing, and handing out these illegal funds. These dirty money dealings pushed protests against security camps meant to protect people. CPI (Maoist) funneled money through MBM and similar front groups to stir trouble. Midyami was the main man spreading the cash locally. The NIA's probe is still rolling, so more news will come. But wait, there's more! On August 21, NIA arrested a man named Imthathullah from Tamil Nadu. He owns Ambur BiryHotels in Kodaikanal and was hiding suspects in the chilling 2019 murder of Ramalingam. The murder was blamed on the banned Popular Front of India (PFI), a terror group. The brutal killing aimed to spark fear and communal hatred. To catch the criminals, NIA searched nine spots in Dindugal and Tenkasi districts. Along with Imthathullah’s arrest, they seized secret documents and digital devices linked to the case. The NIA’s swift moves send a strong message: terror and hatred won’t get a safe place in India. With suspects caught and money trails uncovered, the fight against terror fronts like CPI (Maoist) and PFI goes full throttle!
