Vietnam's giant company Vingroup is ready to spice up the Indian market! They plan to jump into many sectors like hospitality, green energy, and, of course, the fast-growing automotive world. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, said on Saturday, "Our chairman wants to bring the whole ecosystem of Vingroup into India." Imagine smart cities spread across huge land areas over 2,000 acres! That’s their big dream. VinFast, Vingroup’s vehicle arm, just made a grand entrance by launching two eye-catching electric cars: the VF 6 priced at Rs 16.49 lakh and the VF 7 at Rs 20.89 lakh (both prices are introductory and ex-showroom). These models boast impressive driving ranges certified by ARAI, stretching up to over 500 kilometers. Perfect for Indian roads, right? But that's not all! VinFast is crafting electric buses and two-wheelers and working hard with states to switch them from left-hand drive to right-hand drive. Chau revealed, "Every six months we will have a new model," promising continuous innovation. On the manufacturing front, the company’s factory in Tamil Nadu currently produces 50,000 vehicles but plans to ramp it up to a whopping 1.5 lakh units soon. The only hurdle? Environmental clearance is taking some time. The excitement continues with the plan to expand the dealer network to 35 outlets within India this year and to build a massive charging infrastructure of 15,000 stations alongside partners. Now, that’s a roadmap to an electrified future! Pham Sanh Chau proudly compares Vingroup to India’s own giants, saying it’s like "Tata, Reliance, and Infosys combined."
