Panaji witnessed a chilling discovery on a sunny Saturday when the body of an unidentified foreign woman washed ashore at Arambol beach. The Mandrem police sprang into action after receiving a written note from the on-duty medical officer at Tuem community health centre (CHC). The woman, estimated to be between 40 to 45 years old, was rushed to the CHC casualty by ambulance but was declared brought dead. The doctor suspected drowning as the cause of death. The Mandrem police have classified this as an unnatural death. Their investigations revealed the woman was found lifeless and motionless on the scenic Arambol beach early that day. Descriptions paint her as a medium-built woman with a fair complexion and striking golden brownish hair. She was dressed in black clothes when found. Her body is now safely preserved at GMC Bambolim, awaiting further examination. Police officer PSI Jaydeep Palyekar is leading the inquiry, promising a deep dive to uncover the truth behind this sad mystery. What led this foreign woman to her untimely demise on Goa’s famous shore? The police are on the hunt for clues, and the story is still unfolding.
