Due to big protests shaking Nepal, the airline is offering a golden chance to reschedule your trips without paying extra or snatch a full refund if you want to cancel. This offer is valid for flights until September 17, 2025. Why all this fuss? Nepal is boiling with anger. Starting on September 8, cities like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, and Birgunj exploded with protests against a new social media ban and widespread government corruption. The ban, meant to boost tax and security, sparked massive anger. Protesters want the government to be honest and fair, but things turned deadly with 19 lives lost and 500 hurt in clashes with police. Air India Express's spokesperson said, "In view of the prevailing situation in Nepal, we are offering guests booked to travel to or from Nepal up to 17th September 2025, the support and flexibility to freely reschedule their journeys to any future travel date with a complete waiver of change fees or any fare difference. Alternatively, guests who elect to cancel their bookings for these dates would receive a full refund to their original mode of payment or travel agent." Passengers can easily use the airline's AI-powered chat assistant, Tia, by typing NepalTravel on Air India Express's website, WhatsApp, or app to get help quickly.
