Caught Red-Handed! Nepali Man Arrested for Supplying Indian SIM Cards to Pakistan’s ISI Spy Agency

September 10, 2025

Delhi Police caught a dramatic spy game in the heart of the city! Prabhat Kumar Chaurasiya, a 43-year-old Nepali man from Birganj, was arrested in the busy Laxmi Nagar area on August 28. How? He was supplying Indian SIM cards to Pakistan’s dreaded spy agency, the ISI. What made it even more tantalizing—he was lured by big promises of a US visa and journalism jobs abroad! Officials revealed that Chaurasiya used Aadhaar details trickily to get at least 16 SIM cards from private telecom companies. These SIM cards didn’t stay in India—they were sent to Nepal first and finally landed in ISI operatives’ hands in Pakistan. Out of these, 11 SIMs were actively buzzing on WhatsApp from places like Lahore and Bahawalpur in Pakistan. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Amit Kaushik spilled some hot details: “The SIM cards were being operated by ISI handlers to contact Indian Army personnel and pursue espionage objectives through social media.” Imagine the nerves of steel needed for this sneaky exchange! The arrest came after secret tips warned the police that some Indian numbers were being misused by Pakistani spies. When cops kept a close watch on Laxmi Nagar, they caught Chaurasiya red-handed at Vijay Block. During sharp interrogation, he admitted he was tempted by ISI agents with hopes of a foreign visa and exciting journalism work. Who is this man tangled in international espionage? Chaurasiya studied in Nepal and Bihar and earned a degree in Information Technology along with a diploma in computer hardware and networking. Professionally, he worked as a medical rep and sales manager in Maharashtra and Delhi. In 2017, he tried his luck with a logistics company in Kathmandu, but it failed. Struggling financially, he came into contact with ISI middlemen in 2024, which pushed him into this spy web. Currently, Chaurasiya faces serious charges under sections 61(2) for criminal conspiracy and 152 for acts against India’s sovereignty. The police are hot on the trail, planning to unmask his accomplices, find the courier network, and catch the ISI handlers behind this drama. One thing is clear: Delhi Police cracked a spicy espionage case that reads like a Bollywood thriller!
