Brace yourselves for a whirlwind of progress! On September 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura with a suitcase full of exciting development plans worth a whopping Rs 5,100 crore. First stop: Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh’s capital, where the PM will lay the foundation stones of two huge hydroelectric projects. These power plants, the Heo Hydro Electric Project (240 MW) and Tato-I Hydro Electric Project (186 MW), will tap into the mighty Siyom sub-basin and will be worth a massive Rs 3,700 crore! These projects aim to harness Arunachal's vast water power potential and light up countless homes and industries. But the fun doesn’t stop there. Mr. Modi will also place the foundation stone for a stunning new Convention Centre in Tawang, located high up at 9,820 feet in the scenic frontier district. This blue-ribbon venue will host over 1,500 guests for global conferences, cultural fests, and exhibitions, spotlighting the region’s tourism and rich culture on an international stage. Adding sparkle to this journey, the PM will launch multiple other key infrastructure projects worth Rs 1,290 crore. These include upgrades to connectivity, health facilities, fire safety, and hostels for working women, promising to boost economic activity and improve local lives. To keep the wheels of business turning smoothly, Modi will meet local taxpayers, traders, and industry reps to chat about the recent GST rate changes, ensuring that doing business gets easier every day. From Arunachal, our energetic PM will journey to Tripura. Here, he will perform a puja and darshan before inaugurating the development of the iconic Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Complex at Matabari. This ancient Shakti Peetha, one of India’s 51 sacred sites, is under a grand makeover via the PRASAD scheme. Imagine a turtle-shaped masterpiece! The temple’s upgrade includes new pathways, entrances, better drainage, and a striking three-storey building with stalls, meditation halls, guest rooms, and offices. This spiritual and cultural hotspot is set to become a booming beacon for tourists, creating jobs and business opportunities, driving the region’s socio-economic rise. So, whether it’s powerful rivers or ancient temples, PM Modi’s visit promises waves of change and a vibrant future for Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura. Can you feel the excitement?
