Vadodara rocked late Friday night when stone-pelting chaos erupted in the Zunigarhi area! According to Vadodara Police on Saturday, the trouble began after a social media post stirred tensions. Crowds gathered at the local police station to lodge complaints but things took a sharp turn. As the crowd was dispersing, a group turned violent — attacking a Navratri pandal, breaking nearby vehicles, and pelting stones in the area. Vadodara DCP Andrew Macwan told ANI, "We responded immediately to bring the situation under control. Fifty individuals have been detained, and a thorough investigation is underway to ensure appropriate action." The police’s swift action helped calm the storm, but more details are awaited. This isn’t the first time stone pelting is rocking the region. Just last week, Karnataka's Maddur town saw a similar scare during a Ganpati procession on September 8. Protesters hurled stones, and police arrested 21 people. A mild lathi-charge was used to disperse the crowd after violence erupted when the procession passed near a mosque. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah gave a clear picture of what happened. "When the procession passed near the mosque, there was a minor clash. The police had warned the people in the procession, telling them not to stay there for too long. At that time, some stone-pelting took place...When the procession passed in front of the mosque, a clash broke out. A mild lathi-charge was carried out. When people gathered in groups to create trouble, a mild lathi-charge was used," he said. The CM promised, "Whoever is guilty, legal action will be taken against them. It is the BJP leaders who are indulging in provocation. The police have not committed any mistake. If at all there is any mistake, action will be taken." From Vadodara’s Navratri pandal attack to Maddur’s Ganpati procession clash, the scene is hot and tense. Stay tuned as the investigations and political drama unfold!
