Big Anti-Terror Hunt Hits Over Dozen Spots in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir!

September 21, 2025

In a bold and massive move, security forces on Sunday began a huge anti-terrorist operation across more than a dozen locations in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. This action came after officials received intelligence about suspicious movements in the region. Teams from the special operations group (SOG) of local police, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Rashtriya Rifles have joined hands for joint searches. These intense operations are happening in areas under the Surankote, Mendhar, Gursai, Poonch, and Mandi police stations. The cordon and search operation targeted several hotspots. In Surankote, security forces combed through Girjan Gali Tanh, Godriananad, Karru, Upper Banikhet, Nadiyan Dhok, Murrah, and Nadily Sum. Over in Mendhar, energy was focused on Burie Mohalla, Jogi Mohalla, Jattan Mohalla Chajjla, and Banola forest Balakote. The hunt also stretched to Shahpur and Guntrian in Poonch. No stone is left unturned, as searches continue at Loharika, Sangiote, and Gursai Morha in Gursai, as well as Lower Sawjian and nearby areas in Mandi. Despite the huge scale and mobilization, officials said, "There was no report of any arrest or recovery so far." This huge on-ground action shows the security forces’ strong commitment to keep the region safe from any terror threats. Watch this space for more updates on this unfolding story.
