INDORE: A 12-year-old girl, inspired by South Korean youth stars she followed on social media, tried to chase her dreams by traveling alone to South Korea — but without telling her parents! Luckily, the Indore police caught her just in time, reuniting her safely with her family. The young dreamer was spotted all alone at Sarwate Bus Stand on September 19. A smart bus driver noticed her wandering by herself and quickly alerted the Chhoti Gwaltoli police station. "Acting swiftly, a police team reached the spot, brought the girl to the station, and questioned her. She revealed that she came to Indore without her parents’ knowledge and wanted to travel to South Korea in search of opportunities," said Sanju Kamble, the police station incharge. At first, the girl said she was from Khargone district, but since no missing child report matched her, she later admitted her family had recently moved to Mhow. With no missing person report under Badgonda police limits either, cops didn't give up. Using their local contacts and sharp intelligence, they finally traced her parents and safely handed her over. This rescue is part of an ongoing police initiative where officers stay in touch with bus and auto drivers, hotel owners, and others, asking them to report any suspicious activity involving children right away. Officials praised the bus driver’s timely alert and underlined how vital public help is in such cases. Thanks to quick action and alert eyes, this young girl's adventurous dream didn’t turn into a tragedy.
