KEC International Bags Rs 3,243 Crore Global T&D Mega Orders, Shares Rise 6.5%

Big news from KEC International! The company just landed new international Transmission and Distribution (T&D) orders worth a whopping Rs 3,243 crore. This includes eye-catching 400 kV transmission line projects in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and supplies of towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas. Guess what? This is KEC’s largest-ever Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) order in the international T&D segment. The company, part of the RPG Group and known worldwide for infrastructure projects, announced this exciting update on September 22, saying all these orders came as part of normal business operations. Investors couldn't wait to jump in; KEC International shares soared up to Rs 922.15 on the BSE, rising a solid 6.5% on Tuesday, September 23. Vimal Kejriwal, MD and CEO of KEC International, shared his joy: "We are delighted with the new order wins in our T&D business, especially our largest ever EPC order to date. This order has further strengthened our presence in the Middle East and substantially expanded our international T&D order book." He also highlighted that the Middle East remains a key growth area for them and that these orders will help fuel their growth ambitions. With these additions, KEC's year-to-date order intake is now around Rs 11,700 crore. On the previous day, Monday, KEC International’s shares closed steady at Rs 865.95.
