Hold your breath, tech fans! The grand 16th graVITas, VIT Vellore’s famous international techno-management festival, is all set to light up the campus from September 26 to 28. G. Viswanathan, founder-chancellor of VIT, proudly announced the event theme: "Sustainable Tomorrow, Shaped Today." This fest is VIT's sparkling stage where brilliant students from India and beyond show their mind-blowing creativity and smart innovations. This year’s graVITas is no ordinary carnival – it boasts a whopping 207 events! There are 147 main graVITas contests plus 60 thrilling pre-fest challenges. Fresh and fiery new events join the party alongside famous favorites like Robowars, SAE Drone Racing League, Aerodominator, and Go-Karting. If coding excites you, don’t miss electrifying hackathons such as Code2Create 6.0, Dev Jams, Celestia, CookOff 10.0, and CodeXcape. The festival sparkles brightest with jaw-dropping ProShows. VIT students will dazzle everyone with a first-ever Air Show, while Botzlab Dynamics thrills with a mind-blowing Drone Show. The stage will also glow with Splendera, a stunning LED dance spectacle, along with amazing mime and laser shows performed by both students and professional artists. New this year is the Career Expo, designed to connect non-VIT students and hackathon winners with exciting job opportunities. Winners in technical contests can also expect internship offers – now that’s a perfect prize! The prize fund itself is a whopping ₹30 lakhs plus in cash and other amazing goodies. The fest expects more than 40,000 participants buzzing with energy, ideas, and dreams. They will be guided by over 60 expert industry leaders and professionals in workshops and seminars, making graVITas 2025 a true hub for mentorship, knowledge, and innovation. Adding star power to the event, Majed Ali Al Mansoori, secretary general of Emirates Falconers Club and Chairman of Municipality Affairs, Abu Dhabi, will grace the inaugural ceremony. Sharath Kumar Bache Gowda, MLA of Hoskote and Chairman of Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (KEONICS), will honor the valedictory session.
