Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has teamed up with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in a strategic partnership to push the Indian Air Force’s Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme forward. This dynamic duo plans to respond to the Government of India’s Expression of Interest very soon. Why is this partnership so special? It’s a beautiful blend of strengths! L&T brings its expertise in building strategic defence and aerospace platforms, while BEL is a whiz in defence electronics and systems. Together, they aim to fuel India’s dream of an indigenous fifth-generation fighter aircraft, truly living the spirit of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'. Both these giants have already helped shape India’s Light Combat Aircraft programme, supplying key aero-structure parts and crafting vital avionics and electronic systems. Now, they want to take it up a notch by offering the Indian Air Force a top-notch, high-tech fighter jet solution. As of 10:15 AM, L&T shares were trading at Rs 3678.10, up by 0.54%, while BEL shares were at Rs 402.05, down by 0.54% on the BSE.
