Home minister Amit Shah launched the revamped portal for overseas citizens of India (OCI) to provide a user-friendly experience for existing 5 million OCI cardholders and new applicants. The new portal features enhanced functionality and improved user interface to streamline OCI services. It includes auto-fill options in registration forms, integrated payment gateway, and categorization of required documents based on application type. The platform also offers FAQs, a dashboard for application status tracking, and upgraded security protocols with encryption and multi-factor authorization.
