Drama unfolded on Mumbai’s Coastal Road this Thursday morning when a car suddenly burst into flames around 9:30 am inside the south-bound tunnel. The blazing car forced authorities to slam the brakes on traffic in both south and north directions. Mumbai Traffic Police took to their X handle to announce, “Traffic movement is stopped at Coastal Road (Tardeo) south bound and north bound due to car fire.” Commuters were left in a jam as traffic was rerouted at Haji Ali and the Worli connector, causing big delays.
